This Single Cask Release is a 10 year old from 2013, ex-Bourbon cask 365. An outturn of 251 bottles. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, the first new distillery on the island in over 124 years when Anthony Wills founded it in 2005.
The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over ten years, the wood frames the peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.8%. Citrus and vanilla rise from the ex-Bourbon cask while peat phenols bring the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, honey and vanilla. A bourbon single cask.
