Description
This PX Sherry Cask Matured is a Kilchoman matured in Pedro Ximenez casks. An outturn of 12,000 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.
The distillery malts on site and bottles on the farm, keeping the whole process in one place. Matured in Pedro Ximenez casks, the sweetest of the sherry styles, the wood pulls the peated spirit towards dark fruit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 47.3%. The PX lends raisin and date through its melanoidins, the peat phenols a smoky layer. A PX-matured farm malt for Germany.
