Description
This Cask Strength Machir Bay takes Kilchoman's flagship and bottles it undiluted from ex-Bourbon casks. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005 on Rockside Farm.
The distillery malts barley on site and follows it through to bottling, a barley to bottle approach. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks at full strength, the wood frames the young peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.1%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while peat phenols drive the smoke, the full strength sharpening both. A bolder, undiluted Machir Bay.
