Description
This is a 2008 Vintage 100% Islay private single cask, made entirely from Kilchoman's own Islay barley and matured fifteen years in ex-Bourbon. Cask 85 gave 233 bottles for Germany. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.
Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, this is barley to bottle in full. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.2%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. An older private single cask of the farm single malt.
