Description
Karukera is a Guadeloupe agricole producer that bottles single terroir expressions, and this Vertisols release leans on the clay rich vertisol soils that shaped its cane. Distilled from fresh pressed sugar cane juice and left unaged, it is a blanc built to show the cane and the ground it grew in.
Guadeloupe sits under the IGP rather than the Martinique AOC, but the terroir framing here is genuine. White agricoles like this trade on freshness and snap, the grassy, herbaceous, peppery character of fresh cane with a dry, saline edge. Unsweetened at 50 percent, it keeps that cane intensity bright and makes a vivid base for a Ti Punch.
