J&S Violet Rhum Jacsi

This Rhum Jacsi from J&S Violet is an older Martinique bottling built on rhum agricole, distilled from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice rather than molasses on a column still. It carries the relaxed character of a mature agricole that has softened with time rather than chasing intensity.

The nose is floral and vegetal with brown sugar and a whisper of dark honey, and the palate stays light and very drinkable, showing fruity, vegetal notes and fresh sugar-cane sweetness. The finish turns gently spicy with a curious juniper lift and a roasted, cane-driven edge. This is a soft, easy agricole rather than a powerful one, its appeal in its smoothness and the clear green cane signature that runs from nose to close, an unhurried older expression made for relaxed sipping.
