Johnnie Walker White Walker Game of Thrones (John Walker & Sons) is a blended Scotch from John Walker and Sons, with Cardhu at its heart. Cardhu has been the heart malt of Johnnie Walker since the Cummings sold the distillery to the Walkers in 1893. It sits among the gentle hills above the River Spey near Archiestown.

The Cardhu within gives a gentle apple and pear note. A refill bourbon hogshead held it, keeping the soft character to the fore. Maturation in the gentle Speyside climate keeps the spirit smooth and honeyed. Its soft, sweet make was built for easy drinking and for the heart of a blend. It was founded in 1824 by John Cumming, whose wife Helen ran it and flew a flag to warn of the excisemen. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and coconut over the fruit. Cardhu's softness is what made it the heart of Johnnie Walker. The light spirit was built for the blender's art, easy and approachable.

At 41.7% it is clean and soft. Soft orchard fruit, honey and a gentle spice run through it, smooth and approachable. The texture is soft and smooth, the fruit lifted by vanilla. The finish runs gentle, fruity and easy. A characterful blended Scotch.
