Johnnie Walker Green Label Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (John Walker & Sons) is a blended malt Scotch from John Walker & Sons. It vats single malts from several distilleries, with Caol Ila for Islay smoke. A ferry crosses the Sound from Port Askaig to Jura and the mainland.

The Caol Ila within lends a clean, lemony Islay smoke rather than a heavy tarry one. An American oak hogshead added vanilla and a light toffee. The clean, oily spirit takes cask flavour well while holding its citrus and smoke. The clean, lemony smoke has made it a favourite of blenders for generations. The lighter style means the cask and the citrus speak alongside the peat. The six tall stills sit behind picture windows looking out to Jura. The warehouses are ranged along the rocky shore at the water's edge. From a small Victorian works it grew into one of Scotland's biggest malt distilleries.

At 43% it is supple and oily. A coastal peat smoke runs through it, with lemon, brine and a soft oil over a sweet fruit. Soft smoke and citrus sit behind the cask. The finish runs oily, smoky and clean. A characterful smoky blended malt Scotch.
