J. Bally Pyramide 3 Ans is a young Martinique rhum agricole made from fresh pressed sugar cane juice by a house with deep estate roots on the island, presented in its distinctive pyramid bottle. At three years it just qualifies for the vieux tier of the AOC, oak aged for the minimum, and at a gentle 45% it makes an accessible, textbook introduction to aged agricole.

Distilled low on a column still to keep its cane character, then matured in ex bourbon oak, it balances fresh sugarcane and light wood with dried fruit, a touch of vanilla and a peppery, vegetal finish. For its modest age it shows pleasing roundness, the floral and nutty Bally signature already present, the alcohol gentle and well behaved.
