Description
Bermudez Ron Dominicano Gran Reserva Aniversario comes from J. Armando Bermudez, one of the long standing Dominican producers often grouped with Brugal and Barcelo as the island's established houses. It is a molasses based rum made in the light, clean Spanish style, where the barrel and blending do most of the talking.
Without a stated age this is a blended reserve, and in the Dominican idiom it should lean on vanilla, caramel and a touch of caramelised nuts over a soft, rounded body. Bottled at 40%, it is built as an easy, mellow sipper. The Dominican greats tend to test fairly dry, so expect smoothness from oak and blending rather than heavy sweetness.
