A Basque herbal liqueur from Izarra, produced in the French Basque Country, whose name means star in Basque. It is built on a blend of plant extracts, spices and honey, distilled with care, with honey giving it a gentle sweetness against a spicy herbal depth. This is the Jaune, the yellow expression, traditionally the softer and honeyed style of the pair. At 40% it carries full digestif strength and a spirit backbone behind the herbs.

The nose is fine herbal with honey, light spice and floral hints, the palate soft and complex with sweet honey, spicy herbs and fine vanilla and almond nuances, finishing long and harmonious with a balance of sweetness and gentle spice. In a drink it adds honeyed sweetness, warm spice and herbal depth, so it works as a spicy lift in an Old Fashioned, a herbal sour or a hot drink, while it is ideal as a digestif served neat or over ice. It also pairs well with coffee or hot chocolate. Serve neat, slightly chilled.
