Description
The White Oak Cask is a clean, wood-led expression of Isle of Jura, the island malt matured in white oak. Jura's distillery, the island's only one, was raised again in 1963 to bring work back to a dwindling community.
The distillery's tall stills give a clean make that white oak frames simply. Matured in white oak, the wood lets the malt's natural honeyed character lead.
Bottled at 40%. The white oak gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut over a light cereal sweetness. Clean, honeyed and gently maritime, a straightforward wood-led island malt.
