One For You is an 18 year old Isle of Jura, an limited small batch matured in ex-Bourbon oak and bottled at a cask strength 52.5%. A companion to the distillery's One for the Road, it offers the island malt undiluted. Jura's single distillery, rebuilt in 1963, was designed to make a softer malt than its Islay neighbours.
Rebuilt in 1963 for a light, clean spirit, the distillery's malt rewards eighteen years in oak at full strength. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood deepens the honeyed malt while cask strength holds its weight.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.5%. The ex-Bourbon wood gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for honeyed sweetness. The recorded notes run to vanilla, fresh fruit, honey, citrus, malt sweetness and fresh oak. A full-strength small batch eighteen.
