Description
The Cabernet Sauvignon Cask is the third in Isle of Jura's Islanders' Expressions collection, the island malt finished in Cabernet Sauvignon wine wood. The island of Jura has just one distillery, rebuilt in 1963 to revive a community that had lost its trade.
The distillery's clean make takes a wine finish well. Finished in Cabernet Sauvignon casks, the wood brings dark berry fruit and a drying tannic grip to the honeyed malt.
Bottled at 40%. The Cabernet cask gives dark berry and plum with wine tannins adding a dry grip over the malt's honeyed core. Fruity and gently drying, a wine-finished island malt from the Islanders' Expressions line.
