Description
Atom Brands bottled this 7 year old Isle of Jura for its Darkness range, which finishes young whisky in small, intense sherry casks, here Moscatel. Bottled at a cask strength 58.5% for Europe. Jura is the lone distillery on its remote Hebridean island, rebuilt in 1963 for a light, Highland-style spirit.
The distillery's light, clean spirit takes a short, intense finish well. Finished in a Moscatel cask, the sweet fortified wine wood works quickly on the young malt.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.5%. The Moscatel gives a sweet, raisined, grapey character over the young honeyed malt. Intense and sweet at full strength. A Darkness-finished young Jura.
