The Artful Dodger Whisky Collective bottled this 30 year old 1990 Isle of Jura from ex-Bourbon single cask 9005283. A long-matured single cask released for Europe. Jura's distillery, the island's only one, was raised again in 1963 to bring work back to a dwindling community.
The distillery's light, clean spirit rewards three decades in oak. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood deepens the honeyed malt.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 47.2%. The ex-Bourbon wood gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee. Three decades have built a waxy, honeyed depth over polished oak. A long-matured single cask Jura.
