Description
Art Malts bottled this 15 year old 2009 Isle of Jura as The Hidden Ace, matured in a Port cask. A tiny outturn of just 42 bottles for Belgium, among the smallest releases here. Jura is the lone distillery on its remote Hebridean island, rebuilt in 1963 for a light, Highland-style spirit.
The distillery's light, clean spirit takes a Port maturation well. Matured in a Port cask across 15 years, the wine wood adds dark fruit to the malt.
Bottled at 47.2%. The Port wood gives plum and cherry with a jammy sweetness over the honeyed malt. Richly fruited from a tiny outturn. A rare Port-matured single cask Jura.
