Cane and Grain bottled this 10 year old Isle of Jura from ex-Bourbon single cask 3519, an outturn of 296 bottles for the Netherlands. A vivid young single cask at full strength. The island of Jura has just one distillery, rebuilt in 1963 to revive a community that had lost its trade.
The distillery's light, clean spirit shows brightly from a single cask. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask across ten years, the wood frames the young malt.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.8%. The ex-Bourbon cask lends vanilla through vanillin and coconut through oak lactones. The full strength lifts the honeyed, maritime character. A vivid young single cask Jura.
