Isautier Arrangé Gingembre Citron

Isautier Arrange Gingembre Citron is a flavoured rum from the Isautier distillery on Reunion, a long running family house. Arrange is the island tradition of macerating fruit, spices and sugar in rum, and here a molasses base is infused with lemon and ginger and bottled at 40%. It is a sweetened, flavoured product by design rather than a dry sipping rum, and the copy treats it as such.

The profile is dominated by citrus: fresh lemon and lemon peel run through the nose, palate and finish, joined by a clear, warming ginger bite. It is noticeably sweet, enough that it reads as much as a liqueur as a rum, with the ginger giving it a lively, spicy lift.
