Malts of Scotland, a German independent, bottles this Inchmurrin, Loch Lomond's floral island malt from the straight-neck stills, a mature 24 year old from 1996 in Marsala, cask MoS 20022.
Twenty-four years in Marsala lend caramelised brown sugar and dried fruit over the mature spirit, the angel's share having eased the cask.
At 49.7% it shows chocolate, dried fruit, honey, leather, a sherried character and tobacco, the Marsala deep over the Inchmurrin fruit. A Marsala mature Inchmurrin.
