From Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask range, this Inchmurrin is Loch Lomond's floral island malt from the straight-neck stills, a rare 31 year old from 1984, cask HL 12255, a tiny outturn of 87 bottles.
Thirty-one years in ex-Bourbon mature the floral spirit deeply, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla, decades of angel's share thinning the cask over three decades.
At 47.1% it shows the soft, deep maturity of great age over old wood, the floral Inchmurrin worn fine. A rare mature Inchmurrin.
