Description
From Claxton's Exploration Series, this Inchfad is Loch Lomond's heavily peated island malt, a young 5 year old from 2017 in Oloroso.
Five years in Oloroso lend dried fruit over the young peat, the cask's melanoidins giving fig and raisin.
At 50% it shows leather, a mossy note and a sweaty, vegetal edge over the wood smoke, guaiacol and phenols carrying the reek. A young sherried peated Inchfad.
