From the Vintage Malt Whisky Company's Cooper's Choice, this Inchfad is Loch Lomond's heavily peated island malt, a 9 year old from 2009 given a Port turn, cask 9318.
Nine years in Port lend plum and red fruit over the peat, the wine's pigments and tannins set against the smoke.
At 52.5% it shows cooked and fresh fruit, honey, a sherried note and vanilla over the wood smoke, the peat phenols carrying the smoke. A Port-finished peated Inchfad.
