From Brave New Spirits' Cask Noir Production, this Inchfad is Loch Lomond's heavily peated island malt, a 17 year old from 2005 finished in a Merlot cask.
Seventeen years with a Merlot influence lend berry fruit over the mature peat, the wine cask set against the smoke.
At 48.1% it shows citrus, cooked and fresh fruit over the wood smoke, the peat phenols carrying the reek. A wine-finished peated Inchfad.
