Description
From Jack Wiebers' Gentle Noses series, this Inchfad is Loch Lomond's heavily peated island malt, a 17 year old from 2005 drawn from cask 3071, an outturn of 120 bottles.
Seventeen years in ex-Bourbon mellow the bold peat, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla and old-wood depth.
At 49.5% it shows dried fruit, honey, a malty note, old wood and vanilla over a softened smoke. A mature peated Inchfad.
