Jack Wiebers' Old Train Line series carries this Inchfad, Loch Lomond's heavily peated island malt, a 13 year old from 2005 drawn from cask 12.
Thirteen years in ex-Bourbon soften the bold peat, the oak's vanillin a sweet foil to the smoke.
At 54.5% it shows a kippery wood smoke over a sweet barley core, guaiacol and phenols carrying the reek. A peated Inchfad.
