Description
HSE Single Cask MEB 2022 is a long-aged Martinique agricole from Habitation Saint-Etienne, distilled at the Distillerie du Simon and drawn from a single 2006 cask. The HSE name is known for its cask finishes and vintages, and this release sits at nearly sixteen years of age, bottled at 47.8%.
Distilled from fresh-pressed cane juice on a creole column and matured in ex-bourbon oak, it trades the bright snap of youth for dry, mature elegance: dark chocolate, cigar-box wood, toasted nuts and dried apricot, with tropical fruit lingering underneath. The profile is firmly spice and wood led rather than sweet, true to a well-aged AOC agricole, and tropical maturation has built depth beyond the years on the label. Certified unsweetened, it is at its best neat after dinner.
