A traditional hierbas liqueur from Tunel on Mallorca, produced by the Antonio Nadal distillery, founded in 1898 and one of the best known producers of Mallorcan liqueurs. The name hierbas means herbs, and this Mezcladas Medium Dry draws on over thirty Mediterranean herbs and plants including aniseed, rosemary, thyme and orange and lemon peel, anise and Mediterranean herbs being the defining signature of the style. At 30% it carries more herbal grip than the sweeter expressions.

The nose is intensely herbal and spicy with aniseed, Mediterranean herbs, citrus and a slight sweetness, the palate aromatic and smooth with aniseed, rosemary, thyme, citrus and a fine herbal bitterness, finishing long, balanced and herbal fresh. In a drink it brings anise, an aromatic herbal lift and a gentle bitter backbone that cuts sweetness, so it works in a herbal spritz, a long serve over ice or a stirred aperitivo style cocktail, though it is traditionally served neat and well chilled as a digestif. It pairs with Mallorcan tapas, grilled fish or Mediterranean starters. Serve cold.
