Hibiki Japanese Harmony (Suntory Whisky)

Hibiki Japanese Harmony is Suntory's NAS three-distillery blend, drawing on malt from the Yamazaki distillery in Osaka Prefecture and the Hakushu distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture alongside Chita grain from Aichi Prefecture. This global bottling is distinguished by its maturation across Oloroso sherry and mizunara Japanese oak casks, a combination that marks it out from the standard Ex-Bourbon Harmony editions.

The Oloroso casks contribute dried fruit, a gentle sweetness and a subtle oily texture, while the mizunara adds the understated sandalwood and incense character that is a signature of the finest Suntory expressions. Fresh fruit and citrus keep the palate lively, with honey threading throughout. At 43%, it is smooth and multi-layered, the sherry and Japanese oak combination giving a more complex finish than the entry-level Harmony.
