Hibiki Blossom Harmony (Suntory Whisky)

Hibiki Blossom Harmony is a limited NAS blend released in 2021 for global markets, drawing on malt from the Yamazaki distillery in Osaka Prefecture and the Hakushu distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture alongside Chita grain from Aichi Prefecture. The defining feature is the use of sakura, cherry blossom wood, casks as part of the maturation alongside standard Ex-Bourbon barrels, a distinctly Japanese finishing choice within the Hibiki range.

The sakura casks impart a delicate floral quality that sits above the more familiar Hibiki notes: fresh fruit, vanilla and honey from the Ex-Bourbon, with the cherry-blossom wood lending a light, almost confectionery lift and a hint of new wood spice. Citrus provides freshness throughout, and the Chita grain keeps the texture smooth. At 43%, it is an approachable and distinctly seasonal expression within the Hibiki line.
