Hibiki 17 Years Old (Suntory Whisky)

Hibiki 17 Years Old is Suntory's three-distillery blend combining aged malt whisky from the Yamazaki distillery in Osaka Prefecture and the Hakushu distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture with 17-year grain spirit from Chita in Aichi Prefecture. Bottled in 2021 for the Italian market, it continues a long tradition of Hibiki's aged expressions circulating across European travel retail and national distribution.

The 17-year Ex-Bourbon maturation gives honey, dried apricot and orchard fruit, with the Hakushu malt contributing a subtle herbal coolness against the warmer Yamazaki character. A gentle spice develops on the mid-palate, and the Chita grain provides a long, clean finish. At 43%, it is smooth and well-integrated, reflecting the patience that defines the older Hibiki statements.
