The original cherry liqueur from Peter F. Heering, a Danish house that has been making this style for close to two hundred years, sold in well over a hundred countries. It is built on Stevns cherries grown on the Danish island of Zealand around the town of Dalby, where chalky soils and a long ripening period give the fruit its depth and aroma. That single named cherry and its provenance are the heart of the liqueur, and at 24% it carries real fruit concentration into a glass.

The nose is sweet, fruity cherry with a delicate almond note and subtle spice, the palate soft and round with ripe cherry, gentle almond and a pleasant sweetness, finishing long with cherry and almond slowly fading. In a drink it supplies deep cherry fruit, colour and a touch of stone fruit bitterness, which is why it is the backbone of the classic Singapore Sling and a fine lift for a Manhattan or Blood and Sand variation. Ideal on its own or over ice. Serve chilled.
