Havana Club Iconica Máximo 2025 is a Cuban rum from the Havana Club distillery, made on a column still from molasses in the light ron ligero tradition that Cuba is known for. The Iconica range sits at the top of the house, blended by the master ronero for finesse rather than weight, and this release shows that polished, balanced Cuban style.

The spirit's clean base carries its oak ageing with an oily texture and a fresh, fruit-led character. The nose is fresh and woody with orange, raisin and a touch of pear and chocolate, the palate turns oily and lightly sweet over roasted wood, and the finish dries out with orange and chocolate rather than lingering sweet. It is refined and composed rather than heavy, the work of careful blending. At 43% it is smooth and well-judged, a sipping Cuban ron that leans elegant and finishes cleaner and drier than many in the Spanish style.
