Havana Club Cuban Spiced

Havana Club Cuban Spiced is a flavoured take on the island's rum, built on a light column still molasses spirit and bottled at a gentle 35%. The added spices and citrus do the talking, so it is fairest to treat it as a spiced rum style spirit rather than a classic Cuban ron, made for easy, casual drinking.

The nose carries orange, vanilla, clove and a cola note, and the palate follows into orange, vanilla, brown sugar and clove, finishing on cappuccino and bitter orange. It is sweet but not heavily so, with a gentle peppery edge that keeps it from feeling flat. Its natural home is a rum and cola or a lemonade long drink, where the orange and baking spice shine, though it is pleasant enough neat for an easy, fruity glass.
