Haswell London Dry Gin

Haswell London Dry is the work of Julian Haswell, who wanted a classic English gin with citrus pushed firmly to the front, equally happy neat or in a cocktail. Made by the traditional London Dry method, it leans on a tight, well-chosen bill: juniper and coriander seed, angelica root, and the trio of sweet orange, bitter orange and lemon peel that gives the gin its zesty signature. At 47% the flavours arrive with conviction.

The nose is full of citrus, sweet and bitter orange ringing over classic juniper. The palate is fresh and fruity, those dominant citrus notes lifted by a subtle spice from coriander and angelica, before a long, dry finish leaves a clean citrus freshness behind. Its bright character makes it a natural in a Tom Collins, though a sharp G&T with a wide strip of orange peel shows it off just as well.
