    Hanami Dry Gin

    700 ml / 43%
    London Dry

    $37

Floral cherry blossom and a soft sweetness drift over spicy juniper, with fresh citrus and earthy herbs grounding it. A London Dry base meets Japanese botanicals in a gin named for hanami, the springtime ritual of blossom-viewing. Delicate, fleeting and quietly beautiful, just as the name intends.

Made by P. Melchers in the Netherlands, Hanami pairs a classic London Dry base with botanicals borrowed from Japanese culture, chief among them cherry blossom, which lends a floral, gently sweet note. The name is a tribute to hanami, the Japanese custom of cherry-blossom viewing that celebrates the beauty and transience of life, and that philosophy of delicate, fleeting natural flavour runs right through the gin. Careful distillation keeps it smooth and aromatic.

The nose is floral cherry blossom with fresh juniper and fine citrus. The palate is soft and balanced, floral accents and spicy juniper carried on a slight sweetness, finishing long with gentle herbal and floral notes. Serve it in a gin and tonic with a floral tonic, a few hibiscus petals and a splash of yuzu juice to lean into its Japanese character, or stir it into a delicate gin sour.
