Hakushu Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a no age statement expression from Suntory's forest distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture, and this 2025 bottling was released for the Japanese domestic market at 43%. Produced under the JSLMA standard in force since 2021, it is an all-Japanese whisky drawing on the distillery's mountain-altitude spirit.
Ex-Bourbon cask maturation is the maturation foundation for this release, lending the typical vanilla and soft spice framework over which Hakushu's signature green apple, mint and cut grass notes develop. In the house style, a light peat thread and herbal, greenhouse freshness are expected, making this a clean and lively single malt that reflects the forest distillery's distinctive Yamanashi character.
