It draws on Ex-Bourbon cask maturation across a blend of ages to achieve a reliably vibrant and approachable profile.
Vanilla and honey from the bourbon wood sit alongside fresh fruit, citrus and old wood complexity in the flavour data, with a smoky thread and the distillery's characteristic greenhouse and cut grass notes completing the picture. At 43% this is a whisky that balances the lighter, greener side of Hakushu's character with enough Ex-Bourbon richness to make it rounded and satisfying.
