Hakushu 25 Years Old

Hakushu 25 Years Old is the most aged expression in the standard Hakushu range, produced by Suntory at their forest distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture and bottled here for the Japanese domestic market at 43%. The distillery was established in 1973 at the foot of the Southern Japanese Alps, and releases at this age tier are produced in very limited quantities.

Twenty-five years in Ex-Bourbon casks take Hakushu's naturally fresh and herbal spirit into deeper territory, with the wood contributing developed vanilla, honey and gentle dried fruit over the lighter green notes of younger expressions. In the house style, the distillery's characteristic freshness persists alongside a growing richness, resulting in a whisky of considerable complexity and length.
