Hakushu 18 Years Old is a single malt from Suntory's forest distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture, globally released and representing the deeper maturation tier in the Hakushu core range. The distillery's high-altitude site, fed by soft mountain meltwater, produces a naturally fresh and herbal spirit that develops into something more layered with age.
Eighteen years in Ex-Bourbon oak introduces honey and a mossy, forest-floor complexity to the distillery's signature fresh fruit and green apple. The flavour data points to coal-gas smoke, leafy depth and greenhouse herbal tones, with honey threading through to the finish. At 43%, the result is a well-developed single malt that retains Hakushu's essential freshness.
