Hakushu 11 Years Old 1995 is a single cask, cask strength single malt from Suntory's forest distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2006. Single cask releases from Hakushu are relatively rare within the official range, and this bottling at 60% ABV offers an individual cask's perspective on the distillery's spirit.
The Ex-Bourbon cask maturation over eleven years lends vanilla, coconut and soft spice to Hakushu's signature fresh and herbal character. At cask strength, the full weight of the spirit is present without dilution, with the green apple and mint notes the distillery is known for taking on added intensity. The 1995 vintage places this whisky in an era of Hakushu production before the expression gained significant international attention.
