Hakushu 10 Years Old is a single malt from Suntory's forest distillery in Yamanashi Prefecture, produced specifically for the European market and offered at 40.5%. Standing one step below the 12 Years Old in the core range, it captures the distillery's fresh and lightly herbal character at an earlier stage of maturation.
Ex-Bourbon cask ageing over ten years brings vanilla and soft wood sweetness to Hakushu's signature profile of cut grass, green apple and mint. In the house style, a gentle peat thread and greenhouse herbaceousness round out the nose and palate, keeping the overall impression clean, light and well suited to longer pours.
