Gurktaler Der Fruchtige Alpen-Aperitif is an Austrian aperitif from Gurktaler, the alpine herbal house, bottled at 16% and produced in the Gurktaler alpine region of Carinthia. It joins the traditional Gurktaler alpine herbal blend to the freshness and fruitiness of fruit essences, giving a herbal liqueur a fruit forward turn. The combination of alpine herbs and ripe fruit is its signature, a lighter, fruitier take on the alpine style.

The nose is gentle alpine herbs with ripe apple and peach, the palate soft and harmonious with a pleasant sweetness, a fine fruity note and a subtle herbal spice, finishing long and refreshing with light fruit freshness and a herbal note. Behind the bar it works as a fruity, herbal aperitif base, adding fruit, gentle sweetness and an alpine herbal edge to a drink. It is built for a spritz or a sparkling wine cocktail, and harmonises with fresh fruit salad. Pour it slightly chilled or over ice, or lengthen it with sparkling wine for a light aperitif.
