Gurktaler Alpenkräuter mit Gurktaler Retro Stamperl

Gurktaler Alpenkraeuter is a traditional Austrian alpine herbal liqueur, bottled at 27% and built on a carefully balanced blend of alpine herbs that give it its characteristic flavour and freshness. The herbal extracts are processed gently to preserve the natural flavours and achieve a clear, balanced structure, in the mild Gurktaler style rather than a harshly bitter one. This edition comes with a Gurktaler retro Stamperl glass, pairing the classic liqueur with authentic presentation.

The nose is aromatic alpine herbs with fine spice and a subtle sweetness, the palate herbal, mildly bitter, balanced and slightly sweet, finishing round, spicy, pleasantly mild and long. Behind the bar it works as a gentle bittersweet herbal modifier, adding mild alpine herbal depth without heavy bitterness. It is ideal on its own, well chilled or at room temperature and traditionally served in a small glass, and it pairs well with hearty Austrian fare such as Brettljause, bacon and strong mountain cheese. Serve it as a soft digestif.
