    Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin

    700 ml / 37.5%
    New Western

    $23

Ripe strawberry and redcurrant lead, soft and jammy, with a floral whisper of elderflower behind. Gordon’s builds it on its secret 1888 recipe, then folds in natural strawberry and currant flavours. Easy, fruity and forgiving, it was made for long, pink summer pours.

Gordon's traces its line to 1769, when Alexander Gordon set up in North London for the clear water and began blending juniper, coriander, angelica root, orange peel and cinnamon to a recipe still kept secret. The Premium Pink takes the historic 1888 original and rounds it out with the natural flavours of strawberries and currants, a sweeter, fruit-forward take that helped kick off the whole pink gin moment. It is unfussy by design and unmistakably the world's biggest gin name at play.

The nose is all strawberries and currants, with hints of redcurrant. The palate keeps that soft red fruit and adds a floral note of elderflower. It finishes long and gently sweet. Serve it tall over ice with a light tonic and fresh strawberries, or lengthen it with lemonade for an easy afternoon spritz.
