A 10 year old Glendullan from Deerstalker, distilled in 2011, from cask 125, at 59.8%, one of 305 bottles. Glendullan is a Speyside single malt, long a blending malt and now a name in its own right. Since 2007 its single malt has been bottled as the Singleton of Glendullan, aimed at the United States. Its water rises at the Goats Well spring in the Conval Hills above the distillery.

The spirit was distilled from unpeated malt, for a fresh, fruity spirit with a light body. Ex-Bourbon casks held it, the American oak lending vanilla and a light honey. By the integrating teens the raw notes fade and esters build, the fruity spirit growing rounder and creamier. Long ageing turns the fresh green notes towards orchard fruit, honey and a gentle spice. The fresh, fruity spirit deepens with time, the cask drawing out a soft honey. Active wood frames the fruit without ever crowding the light Speyside spirit.

At 59.8%, undiluted, it is rich and fruity. A clean, grassy sweetness with a floral lift, lifted by a soft oak. The body is light and fresh, the fruit lifted by a soft oak. Green apple, citrus and a soft oak see it out. This is a green, malty Speyside single malt.
