An 11 year old Glen Moray from the bottler Hart Brothers, distilled in 2008, bottled at 52.1%. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt known for vanilla, honey and orchard fruit. It has been owned since 2008 by the French house La Martiniquaise.

The spirit was distilled light and fruity in the Glen Moray style, building a light, accessible character of orchard fruit and vanilla. Finished in a Burgundy cask, the wood building over the fruity, light spirit. Through integration spirit and wood marry, vanillin settling into a rounded vanilla as ethyl esters lend a riper apple and pear. The accessible, fruity make is the base for the distillery's many cask finishes. The cool Speyside air gives a slow, even maturation in the Glen Moray warehouses at Elgin. The clean, fruity spirit shows the cask clearly, vanilla and fruit to the fore. Refill oak lets the light, fruity Glen Moray character lead the way.

At a natural 52.1% it is full and fruity. Pear, honey and a soft malt, with a soft red berry and an earthy edge from the cask. It is fresh and fruity, the light spirit shining through. A fresh finish ends on apple and a soft oak. This is a light, fruity Speyside single malt.
