Description
This organic Eierlikör from Gaenserndorfer Kulinarium in Austria is an advocaat made with fresh organic egg yolk, organic spirit and vanilla, blended and rested to a thick, custardy texture and bottled at a gentle 16%. Like all egg liqueurs it leans on the yolk for its richness and body.
The nose is creamy with fine vanilla and caramel over a subtle egg note, the palate smooth and full bodied with vanilla, a soft sweetness and light spice. Behind the bar it works as a rich, creamy body ingredient: it carries a Snowball with lemonade, enriches an eggnog, layers into a flip, or pours over desserts and into coffee. It is an egg and dairy emulsion, so keep it chilled and use it within a few months of opening.
