Fuji Gotemba 18 Years Old

Fuji Gotemba 18 Years Old is a single malt from Kirin's Fuji Gotemba distillery in Shizuoka prefecture, situated at the foot of Mt. Fuji and notable as one of Japan's most capable large-scale producers, with malt and multiple grain types distilled on the same site since 1973. This 18-year-old expression was bottled at 43% for the European market.

Eighteen years in Ex-Bourbon casks coaxes honeyed malt extract and fresh citrus from the distillate, with a nutty note that emerges in the mid-palate. The declared profile of honey, citric brightness, malt extract and nuttiness reflects the Ex-Bourbon maturation well, while the Fuji Gotemba house character adds a clean, light grain structure beneath the riper fruit.
