Description
Franzi Spekulatius Likor Limited Edition is a German cream liqueur bottled at 15%, made by Nork around the flavour of the speculoos biscuit. A seasonal release, it brings the spiced biscuit's character to the glass through a fine combination of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla set into a smooth, velvety, creamy base. The speculoos spice blend is the defining idea, a wintry dessert liqueur built on a familiar Christmas biscuit.
The nose is cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, caramel and fine biscuit notes, the palate smooth, creamy and spicy with speculoos, vanilla, cinnamon and sweet cream, finishing long, soft and warm with a fine spicy sweetness. Behind the bar it works as a dessert and body ingredient, adding warm baking spice, biscuit sweetness and a creamy texture, which suits it to a spiced winter martini, a stir into coffee or cocoa, and a pour over vanilla ice cream or baked apple. It tastes most harmonious neat at room temperature or slightly chilled, pairs with winter desserts and cheesecake, and lifts hot drinks. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product once opened, so keep it cool and use it reasonably fresh.
